Apply Now to the AI4Resilience Challenge in Bangladesh!

The Global Knowledge Initiative (GKI) invites eligible organizations and individuals to apply to the first Accelerating Innovation for Resilience (AI4Resilience) Challenge in partnership with Spring Activator with support from the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).

On June 20th, 2022, the AI4Resilience program hosted its launch event and first workshop in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Over forty stakeholders from across the development space came together to understand the humanitarian system and the emerging challenges and ongoing stressors in the country. Together, they created a systems map to visualize the points of leverage, or strategic opportunities, for systems-level transformation.

The AI4Resilience Challenge seeks participants who can contribute to the collaboratively identified challenges of the system while strengthening the ecosystem of humanitarian stakeholders. Selected participants will design and deploy solutions that address the Challenge objectives and Challenge Statements that were co-created with stakeholders.

Participants in the Challenge will move through a series of learning opportunities and mentoring sessions to help them refine and develop their solutions. Eligible finalists will receive the US $5000 and additional support to design and plan their solutions, while winners will receive a share of about US $225,000 in implementation funding.

Applications are currently open and will close on August 20th, 2022 at midnight Dhaka time. Apply today via the online portal

The Challenge is open to organizations and individuals with a presence in Bangladesh, be a local entity, or have an eligible Bangladeshi partner. A full overview of the AI4Resilience Challenge and eligibility requirements, application steps, and other frequently asked questions are available here.
