Shivani joined GKI in 2017 as an intern supporting the Systems Research and Evaluation Program Developments. As a recent graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace Studies, Biological Sciences, and Arabic, she is excited to analyze complex educational and international development systems. Prior to her time at GKI, Shivani worked with the organization CAIR-Chicago, a not-for-profit civil rights organization with a mission to fight Islamophobia through pro bono legal services.
Originally from Roselle, Illinois, Shivani enjoys both urban and rural settings, especially when she travels. She believes that after education, budgeting for traveling provides the greatest return on investment for long term enrichment and sustainability.
Shivani is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Trachtenberg School at George Washington University. On weekends you can probably find her enjoying new wonders of DC, using her Nikon camera to explore the city, or dancing to Indian music.
