Meryl joined GKI in 2016 as an intern supporting the Systems Research and Evaluation Program. As a recent graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, she is excited to utilize systems tools and approaches to analyze complex environmental systems. Prior to her time at GKI, Meryl worked with the organization AguaClara, a team of students who pilot water treatment innovations in rural Honduran communities.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Meryl enjoys playing in the great outdoors. After graduation, she cycled from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon to learn more about the country she calls home and to evaluate the quality of the nation’s ice cream supply. You can often find Meryl searching for the perfect climbing tree, biking down a trail, or baking copious quantities of cookies.
