Together with Sara Farley and Sam Pitroda, Mehul Desai serves on GKI’s Board of Directors. Mehul brings almost 25 years of experience to his Board work, drawing upon areas of intellectual property, product development, business development, strategy and international operations. He has done pioneering work in the field of secure personalized transactions, with a focus on finance, retail, healthcare, and government services for mobile phone users, evolving the Digital Wallet, to a Mobile Wallet, to a Lifestyle Container. Mehul co-founded C-SAM, Inc., a global technology provider for secure transaction solutions, which was acquired by MasterCard Worldwide in 2014. Mehul Desai is also founder and CEO of DeZai (www.dezai.co), which provides strategic advisory services in areas related to ICT, Payments, and Innovation.
Mehul is an expert-in-residence at the Chicago Innovation Exchange, and is on the board of several companies, which include BoTree, Personal Blackbox, PEaaS, and SWYCH. He has been a leader in several industry forums focused on developing standards for secure mobile transactions, including the MPIW or Mobile Payments Industry Workgroup, an industry task force convened by the US Federal Reserve. He is the co-inventor of issued patents and pending applications. Beyond his support to GKI, Mehul supports several non-profit initiatives, including the Global Foodbanking Network, ChildFund International and Global Giving.
