Hina joined GKI in 2018 as a Junior Program Officer supporting the Systems Research & Evaluation program. In this role, she conducts both qualitative and quantitative data analysis on complex systems, such as healthcare systems in low-income countries. Hina also supports the strategic growth of GKI’s systems practice though targeted partnership and outreach activities. Prior to joining GKI, Hina worked at an education-focused non-profit in Omaha, Nebraska as an advocacy assistant. During graduate school, Hina worked as an AidData Summer Fellow at Open Impact in Uganda to strengthen the capacity for open data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Hina holds a Master’s degree in Global Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In her free time, Hina enjoys finding scenic walking trails, hanging out with her family, and planning her next trip to Nepal, her home country.
