Amanda Lilley Rose
Senior Program Officer
Amanda leads our agricultural innovation portfolio at GKI. In this role, she manages our work as the Innovation Partner for YieldWise, a Rockefeller Foundation initiative to demonstrate how the world can halve post-harvest food loss in Africa. As part of GKI since its start in 2009, Amanda also has shaped many facets of GKI, from programming, to organizational design, to strategic partnerships.
Growing up on her family’s farm in North Carolina, Amanda developed a passion for rural development and the hardworking people that make agriculture work around the world. This passion continues to fuel her work today.
Amanda holds undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Studies from North Carolina State University, and a master’s degree in International Science and Technology Policy from The George Washington University. A proud Marine Corps spouse, in her downtime you’ll likely find Amanda playing outside with her son, on a road trip with her family, or enjoying a new book.
